Please Don't Leave Me (Spyro Creepypasta)

Hello random stranger reading this! If you've never read this before, then don't stress, this is more-so for readers who may be returning to this story.

This has been a long-time planned, but PDLM (Please Don't Leave Me) is getting a rewrite, so you'll notice that in every space this story exists, it will be edited to announce the rewrite with the old story being removed.

I know a lot of people like this story and while I'm still pretty happy with my first creepypasta, I know I can do better, so it's because of that that I want to write it properly and see how far my writing has come compared to the OG tale (or tail if you're into puns)

If you happen to have a copy of the original story, please don't repost it. I want to properly give PDLM a solid start without ties to the original. There may be some nods for old fans but this is how PDLM should have always been written and the same goes with the movie.

Since posting the update on other websites, I've been asked a lot of questions in private, so I'll answer them as best as I can:

-Will this version get a movie too?

Honestly I have no idea. I'm balancing a lot of projects and personal things right now (including game development) so I don't know. Especially since the OG VAs are off doing better things and I don't know if they'd be up for rehashing their lines or not after so many years.

-Why now?

I was going through some of my old stories I wrote forever ago and came across this one. What's important to remember is that the OG PDLM was my very first attempt at writing a creepypasta and while I'm happy with what my younger self done, I still find myself cringing at it now and I sincerely want to give it another go. 

-Why not write a sequel?

Because I sincerely want to rewrite this and do a better job. There was a lot of issues with the original, especially the classic "..." problem. I love writing, so I want to see how much I've improved, as well as change some major points of the story. Because I know I can do better, I want to do better.

-So when will the PDLM rewrite come out?

No idea. I don't even know if anyone remembers the story after so many years but after seeing it reposted on other websites, I wanted to post this update in case anyone goes looking for the story before the new version is ready.

This also means that the iconic image I created that everyone uses for any creepy Spyro stories will also change. I won't outright delete it, since people still love using it but I will be drawing a new design for PDLM Spyro.

The story may or may not be renamed as well, depending on the new plotline and characters added.

-I messaged you X time ago, why haven't you responded?

Because I mainly use discord for work and don't check certain websites like I used to, so it's a case of not being as active on certain websites as I was when I write this story 10 years ago.

When the rewrite is ready, I will post an announcement chapter, then remove this notices. So for those reading/following, you'll see a chapter update along with new cover art. I will leave the old art on the DeviantArt page but everywhere else will use Spyro's new design.

I sincerely hope you all look forward to the new PDLM Spyro and here's hoping that you enjoy it more than the original!
