UPDATE: Everyone please pay attention to this, it explains why the webcam was removed:
Site Update: Bug Fixes, Art Creation
In our continuous effort to improve the DeviantArt experience, we're publishing weekly Site Updates to keep members informed and to gather feedback. Below is a list of recent changes to the site, bug fixes, and feedback that was brought up by members in the last Site Update.
Change Log
When a deviant submits multiple deviations close together, they will now be grouped on the Watch Feed. Changed by helloandre
In last week's Site Update, we mentioned that under certain circumstances, literature and Journal deviations could end up in a partially submitted state, creating a deviation page and duplicate Sta.sh item without sending a Message Center notification. The affected deviations have since been repaired. Fixed by inazar
The sidebar of the Journal Portal was overlaying on top of the site header. Fixed by trezoid

"The widget also caused security issues where deviants were unintentionally embedding URLs flagged by browsers as malicious — causing some pages of DeviantArt to be inaccessible."
This does makes sense if you think about it however I want the webcams back just as much as you do, so here's a suggestion that will make everyone happy:
Bring back the webcams

BUT

Have it like our DeviantArt uploads where the file has to be uploaded directly from our computer rather then pasted from another website. This means that if users want to use an image from another website, they would have to download it onto their computer and everyone has internet security these days so if the image has any problems their computers will block it. I think this would work out for everyone :)

I sent a note to wreckling with the following suggestion as this should make everyone happy :)
"Hello wreckling, after reading your update regarding the reason why the webcams were removed, I have an idea that should make both parties happy.

Instead of people linking URLs into their webcams and accidentally embedding any malicious sites like you said, why not change it so you have to upload an image or animated GIF directly from your computer? That would get rid of the problem and make everyone happy.

You can leave it so Premium members can still use the URLs but non premiums would have to download the images they want to use then upload them.

Almost everyone has internet security these days so if there is any sign or 'malicious content' their own computers would stop them from even downloading it.

I think this idea would work and effectively eliminate any risks as well as please the community and show that you care about the non-premium members of DeviantArt :)

Thank you for reading this and have a nice day."

They asked for my feedback on the 'support' they gave me, if you'd even call it that.

"DeviantArt has become very greedy, the webcam was available for everyone and the non-premium members on this website barely have enough features as is. I'm even more disgusted that you sent me the same message twice for two separate emails I posted you, asking for the return of the webcam and the unfair and inconsiderate act of this. Two separate emails and you didn't even read them, you just copied and pasted me the same thing. The way this website is going is heart breaking, what happened to the old DeviantArt that actually CARED about what ALL of their members had to say? You asked for feedback then when we tell you something you don't like you spin around and plug your ears completely ignoring the ones keeping your website running. This is extremely bad karma. You may laugh at me for saying that, if you'd even read this message but that's what I believe in and I KNOW what you're doing is WRONG. You're making more then enough money as is yet you still have to pick everyone dry like greedy vultures. This website is just going to sink downhill because of the unfriendly and lack of human response from the 'staff' who only read the tittle then copy and paste a message. There's no more good service on this website when the staff don't even read your emails, let alone care, about what we have to say anymore. I am an Autistic artist and many people associate that with stupidity and I'll admit I'm not a genius but at least I listen to people."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After receiving copy and pasted emails from DeviantArt who didn't even bother reading my emails, I sent them back this,

"This is an exact copy of the earlier message. I can't believe you gave me a copy and paste message, I am extremely disgusted that you didn't even read my emails at all. This just proves my point that you do not care about the DeviantArt community, you do nothing about art theft or the sexual content posted on this website and you're letting it fall to shambles."

I sent another letter to DeviantArt and this is it, word for word,
"Human Rights Act 1998

Article 10
Freedom of expression
1. Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers. This Article shall not prevent States from requiring the licensing of broadcasting, television or cinema enterprises.

2. The exercise of these freedoms, since it carries with it duties and responsibilities, may be subject to such formalities, conditions, restrictions or penalties as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society, in the interests of national security, territorial integrity or public safety, for the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals, for the protection of the reputation or rights of others, for preventing the disclosure of information received in confidence, or for maintaining the authority and impartiality of the judiciary.

The WebCam feature has been around for a very long time, it does not cause any problems and is a way for artists to express themselves if they difficulties drawing, it also allows us to express what our interests are with an imgae or animated GIF.

Are you saying that because the non-premium members don't or can't pay for your greedy decision that we're deprived of that right? That Human Right that everyone has? That you're saying we're unworthy of having any rights whatsoever because they're non-premium?

I demand that the webcam feature be made available to everyone on DeviantArt as it had been in the past, that you do the right thing and change your decision to remove the webcam feature.

Your admin ask for feedback from the community but when we do give our opinions, we're ignored and I am sick of this discrimination against the non-premium members of DeviantArt.

Two petitions have already been started against this decision, one which already has reached over 400 signatures.

Do the right thing DeviantArt, stop being greedy and return the webcam feature to all members of DeviantArt both premium and non-premium.

I have tried asking your admin member wreckling nicely to return the webcam feature however he did not respond to me until I became a premium member, which I find absolutely disgusting.

Here is DeviantArt's response,

RESPONSE FROM DEVIANTART:

"Hi There!

Thanks for your inquiry. We are currently in the process of phasing out the webcam module. Please consider displaying your image in a custom module instead. For more information about this please read through the recent Site Update report. :)

Thanks DeviantArt, for giving me a response that sounds like they only read the title of the email and typed something up, since they didn't respond to anything else I wrote in the email. -_-; Also I removed the guy's name for privacy reasons.

Remember that other letter I sent them earlier? I kid you not, this was their response:

F*cking copy and pasted, the arrogant b*stards didn't even read my email!

I sent a note to wreckling, this is exactly it word for word,
"Hello wreckling, I'm sure you're well aware of how upset you and the other staff members of DeviantArt have made the community by  threatening to remove the webcam feature.

I ask that you look at your page, it shows how everyone is against this decision as this is outright unfair to the non-premium members of DeviantArt who are unable to get premium memberships.

I would also like to request to talk to the person responsible for this decision if this is not you.

Everyone on DeviantArt enjoys this feature, it's fun, easy to use as it lets each deviant user express a piece of themselves, especially if they cannot draw as well as others.

You're taking away something that allows members of this community to express their unique individuality, something everyone has a right to.

Because of your lack of response to the community, the people you asked for feedback from, I'm going to assume you just ignore non-premium members as I did not receive a response from you until I became a premium member myself.

That, to me, says a lot.

Now, I ask again, please put me into contact with the person who made this ridiculous decision so I may speak with them regarding this
."

Funny how the staff of DeviantArt didn't even respond to me until I became a premium member, discrimination, much?

Recently I got a message saying that Deviant will be removing the Webcam feature and leaving it exclusively to premium members of DeviantARt.

I am very upset and disgusted by this. DeviantArt, why are you taking away this fun feature that nearly everyone uses? I have started a petition to get the WebCam feature brought back, it's below for everyone to sign, please share the link through a journal so everyone knows!
www.change.org/p/www-deviantar…

I can't believe what DeviantArt is doing, what the hell are they thinking? They didn't do a poll or anything, no consideration for the members, both normal and non premium, this is a disgusting turn for DeviantARt.
Also go to this journal and post #savethewebcams   Site Update: The New Mobile Header
In our continuous effort to improve the DeviantArt experience, we're publishing weekly Site Updates to keep members informed and to gather feedback. Below is a list of recent changes to the site, bug fixes, and feedback that was brought up by members in the last Site Update.
What's New
The New Mobile Web Header
A new header for the mobile website has just been released! Our mobile website header has been given a minor overhaul to be more mobile-friendly, and given a sleek new look to match.
Menu items have been updated for ease of access and use, providing a solid balance of clarity and functionality. Everything that was previously available through the menu accessed by tapping on the logo is still present, so everything you know and love is still one tap away.

Come on everyone, show how unfair and inconsiderate this is of DeviantArt to do this!

YouTube video version:

I have just sent a letter to the support of DeviantArt, which I will copy below for everyone to read, their response, when it comes, will also be posted here.

"I am deeply disappointed and disgusted by his decision from DeviantARt. It's completely inconsiderate for those who are unable to get premium accounts, besides premium accounts have enough features and there's barely anything for the non premium users to enjoy. I have personally started a petition to have the WebCam widget left available to everyone and I know there are more petitions on the same subject but rest assured I will do more to show my outrage at this.

Do the right thing and leave the WebCam available for all users, because what this says to me is, "If you're a non-premium member, we're slowly going to take away all the good features then finally make all of the account members either pay for a premium account or kick them off the website."

I will continue this, to have the right thing done, until you get your act together and stop this unfair removal of the webcams! This will be posted on my journal so everyone is aware of what what you're doing is wrong."

Spread the word! We can still display pictures with HTML coding!!

You can use this until we get our webcams back :)

As promised, my suggestion on how to stop art thieves and bullies:
Stopping Art Thieves Bullying and Hidden CommentsI promised to write about this some time ago after I put up the petition to stop the removal of the webcams (Which didn't work since DeviantArt cares more about money then it's users) so here's my ideas on how DeviantArt can stop Art Thieves, Bullying and my problem with the 'hidden comments' feature.
Okay so these are three major issues I want to talk about and suggest a remedy for, the first one is Art Theft since it's a major problem on this website.
Even if you disable the 'download' feature on your artwork, someone can just right click it and copy or save it to their computer and I KNOW there are websites that
stop the right clicking feature all together so when you right click the image to steal it, no window or menu will pop up, though thieves will still try taking a screenshot
then upload it with some editing in paint. Now here's my suggestion on how to stop this,
Once someone has been reported for art theft (By anyone, not just the original artist since they could e
