UPDATE: She LOVES it! 
This is a special gift I made for my Mother's birthday this friday, I spent the last two classes/weeks(It's one day a week) working on this and hiding it from her.
It's a bezel setting for an Amethyst cabochon(A stone that has a round surface and a flat back) with a dragon cut out on the back. As you can see, there was a very fine piece of silver wire left there, so I had to use a special jewellery glue to hold it place while I polished it(make it all pretty shiny X3)
As you can imagine this design I will not be replicating again(Specifically the cut out on the back) because it's just for her, since she's born in the year of the dragon but I couldn't find any emeralds or green stones, so this Amethyst will do until I do make her something with an Emerald in it P:

I have a practical question, why would you drill a hole in the stone instead of soldering an eye on the bezel?
