CM: Ocean Beauty

This is a commissioned piece for someone's former business card(thus why their logo/name is removed). They asked to have an ocean design with a mermaid laying in the ocean.
It took a few references for me to get the ocean just right and I'm so happy with how this came out I also did a daytime version(which is just a brighter sky that I will also
upload later on) but I also wanted to try out different lighting to really make the ocean spring to life


The Story:

I actually did this a while back but added my signature and altered it after finding it in my commissions folder.

A person commissioned me to create a design for their art studio but decided they didn't want to pay(even though we had both agreed on the price),
after I had finished it and shown it to them. After a long battle they eventually did pay up(which is why I take payments first before starting any work for commissions)

but then tried some other BS in real life that ended up with them in serious legal trouble.
(I'm not going to go into it right now but this person commissioned me in person, not online)

So that's the story/drama behind this piece but thankfully this is the only CM experience that wasn't so pleasant as everyone else has been so charming and polite
